Dr. Slade is a native of Mobile. She graduated from the University of South

Alabama with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology in 1983. She worked in the Clinical Laboratory at USA Health University Hospital from 1983 to 1993.

Dr. Slade received her Doctor of Optometry Degree in 1997 from the UAB School of Optometry. She completed a residency program in ocular disease/low vision from Bay Pines VAMC in 1998. Dr. Slade worked in a nursing home practice as well as private practice settings in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg area from 1998-2002.

Dr. Slade has been part of the Vision Partners team since 2002, providing comprehensive eye examinations with an emphasis on ocular disease management as well as spectacle and contact lens fittings.
