Dr. Leonard Rich came to Mobile after graduating from medical school at the Ohio State University, completing his Ophthalmology residency at the Cleveland Clinic, and his strabismus fellowship discipline at the University of Miami; Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Doctor Rich is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

In addition, he regularly serves as an examiner of ophthalmology board eligible

doctors for the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member in good standing with the Mobile County Medical Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.  He was a former Chairman of 10 years and a professor of Ophthalmology at the University of South Alabama.

Doctor Rich is a provider for most local and national medical insurance carriers. 

He  is a consulting ophthalmologist in the Mobile County hospitals and many of the

Baldwin County hospitals. Dr. Rich sees both adult and pediatric eye patients.

He is an expert referral source for many ophthalmic and optometric practices in the southeastern United States.  His practice encompasses general comprehensive eye problems with a special interest in amblyopia, strabismus (misaligned eyes) and thyroid eye diseases.
