Dr. Small is a native of Mobile. She attended Baker High School where she met her high school sweetheart and future husband, Shaun.

 

After Baker, Dr. Small attended the University of South Alabama where she earned her Bachelors degree in 2003 with Cum Laude honors. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 2009.

 

She worked for the Department of Veteran's Affairs before starting an eye clinic at the Mobile County Health Department in 2010. She then worked for EyeCare Associates from 2012-2015.

 

Dr. Small joined Vision Partners in 2015 as a comprehensive optometrist. Patients will receive a detailed eye exam by Dr. Small and vision corrective measures by providing eyeglass or contact lenses prescriptions. More importantly, she will identify and address any eye disorders that may need attention found at the exam. She works closely in collaboration with the other eye care specialists at Vision Partners.  

 

Dr. Small and her husband have two rescue dogs and a daughter (Olivia) who is the joy of their lives. Dr. Small's husband is a dentist with Complete Dental of Mobile on Three Notch Road. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, antique cars and Alabama football.
